DNO - As part of a working visit to Russia, a delegation of Da Nang’s officials, led by the Chairman of the municipal People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung, held talks on Monday with the Committee for External Relations of the Leningrad Region.

At the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Duc Dung gave an overview of Da Nang’s potential and development orientation in the new phase.
To expand economic and trade cooperation, he asked for support from the Leningrad Region Committee for External Relations in attracting Russian enterprises to explore investment opportunities in the Free Trade Zone and the Vietnam International Financial Center in the city.
In discussions with the Da Nang delegation, Chairwoman of the Leningrad Region Committee for External Relations Mikachenko Arastasia Vikropovna said Leningrad was one of Russia’s dynamic economic centers, with four key pillars: industry (petrochemicals, paper and food processing), seaports, agriculture and eco-tourism.
She noted that the region’s seaport system played a strategic role as a major trade gateway, handling more than 25% of Russia’s total cargo volume.

On this occasion, Ms. Mikachenko respectfully invited Da Nang leaders to attend the Investment and Tourism Forum (BRIEF), scheduled for September 2026 in Leningrad Region, to further promote the city’s potential and seek cooperation opportunities.
The working visit reflected the determination of both localities to advance practical cooperation programs, strengthen business connectivity in areas of mutual strength, and further deepen the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Russia.
