DNO - Da Nang International Airport received over 13 million passenger arrivals in the first 9 months of this year, including approximately 7.4 million domestic arrivals and 5.6 million international ones, and operated more than 76,000 flights.
Da Nang International Airport has just been named among the world’s top 100 airports in 2026, as announced by Skytrax, while maintaining its place in the top 10 best airports in Asia.
These rankings provide further momentum for the airport to continue improving its service quality, investing in infrastructure and enhancing the passenger experience.
The airport recently held a ceremony to announce the implementation of its expansion projects.
In particular, the project to renovate and expand Passenger Terminal T1 at Da Nang International Airport has a total investment of over VND 9,936 billion. This aims to increase the terminal's operating capacity to 14 million passengers per year, comprising approximately 10 million domestic and 4 million international passengers.
As planned, the expanded construction at Terminal T1 is scheduled to begin in August 2027 and put into operation by January 2029, while the renovation of the existing terminal is slated for completion in August 2029.
Alongside the terminal capacity upgrade, procedures are being finalized for the first phase of the aircraft parking apron expansion project, which is expected to add six Code C aircraft parking stands. This aims to enhance aircraft handling capabilities, alleviate operational pressure during peak periods, and create room for the growth of air transport.
