Da Nang Business, Finance and Technology Week 2026 slated from July 7 -12

Speaking at the press conference held on Tuesday, Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh stated that DBFTW 2026 will feature a series of key events, including a high-level policy dialogue themed “New Growth - Innovation - Global City”, and the Vietnam Finance Forum 2026.

Also, workshops on strengthening collaboration among government, universities and businesses; and on “Semiconductors and High Technology in Da Nang 2026” will be organized.

He emphasized that, through DBFTW 2026, the city aimed to connect with policymakers, experts and business leaders at both and abroad, as well as explore investment opportunities.

The event is expected to provide a forum for in-depth discussions and sharing of experiences on legal frameworks, regulatory sandboxes, digital finance and innovation.

Simultaneously, the week will also strengthen ties with strategic partners, helping position Da Nang as an emerging technology and financial hub in the Asia-Pacific region.

It is expected to lay the groundwork for long-term cooperation and develop a dynamic investment promotion ecosystem.

Vice Chairman Minh voiced his hope that DBFTW will gradually become a prestigious annual forum, bringing policymakers, experts, businesses, and investors from around the world to exchange ideas, promote cooperation, and create new development opportunities.

On behalf of the city leader, Mr. Minh invited international organizations, businesses, investors, experts, scientists, and the domestic and global finance, technology and innovation communities to come to Da Nang to participate in the week’s activities, and join hands in the city’s future development.

At the press conference, media representatives raised questions regarding investment attraction, the development of the International Finance Center, and Da Nang's competitive advantages in the high-tech sector.

Discussions also covered efforts to connect foreign businesses and investors with the city, the establishment and operation of the Vietnam International Financial Center in the city, strategies for developing a highly skilled workforce in artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductors, and talent attraction and retention policies.

According to representatives from municipal departments and agencies, this year's event has been expanded in both scale and content. Its purpose is to attract investment, promote innovation, and create momentum for the development of the city's strategic technology sectors.

Da Nang is currently focusing on refining policies that support training, talent attraction, infrastructure development and innovation ecosystem growth in a bid to create favorable conditions for technology enterprises to thrive.

A key new feature of this year’s edition is the stronger linkage among government agencies, educational institutions and businesses, helping align training programs with labor market demands and improve the quality of human resources in high-tech industries.
