Lasting until June 17, the event is organized by the State Records and Archives Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs in coordination with the Vietnam Military History Museum and the Naval Region 3 Command.

The exhibition features nearly 200 documents and maps about Vietnam’s seas and islands, selected from the National Archives Centers under the State Archives and Records Department, the Vietnam Military History Museum, and the Command of Naval Region 3.

Also, there are many valuable sources collected from archives and libraries at both home and abroad.

The displays highlight Vietnam’s process of establishing, exercising, and protecting sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos.

They also present objective and authentic historical and legal evidence affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over its seas and islands.

Notably, on display at the exhibition are valuable archival documents currently preserved at the National Archives Centers. Included are imperial records and woodblocks of the Nguyen Dynasty, along with many maps, administrative documents, images, and important historical documents serving the study of national history and Vietnam's sovereignty over its seas and islands.
