In addition, the Military Command of Da Nang has advised the municipal People's Committee to invest in a helipad located in Hung Son Commune (formerly A Xan Commune in Tay Giang District). The proposed investment for this project is between VND 7 to 10 billion. The site has been surveyed, and construction has been approved in collaboration with the 372nd Air Defense Division.

In 2021, a similar helipad was successfully built in Phuoc Thanh Commune, previously known as Phuoc Son District, with an investment of VND 5 billion VND. This helipad has proven to be essential for rescue and relief operations in recent years. It has served as a gathering point for food and a storage site for materials for residents in preparation for the rainy and stormy seasons.

According to the city’s Military Command, Phuoc Thanh, Tra Tap and Hung Son communes are all mountainous and border areas of Quang Nam Province in the past and now Da Nang City. These areas have high mountainous terrain and steep slopes, are often affected by flash floods and landslides.

Meanwhile, the logistics facilities serving disaster prevention, control, and search and rescue work of localities still have many difficulties.

Investing in building material gathering places to support disaster prevention and control and search and rescue efforts in communes is essential, especially before and during the rainy and stormy season. These facilities can also serve as helicopter landing sites in case roads are cut off, ensuring readiness for national defense situations. This will significantly contribute to enhancing national defence and security in border areas while ensuring timely delivery of supplies and aid during disasters.
