(ĐNO) - On July 5, University of Science and Technology - The University of Da Nang celebrated its 50th anniversary. Present at the event were leaders of the Ministry of Education, Central and local authorities.
Over the past 50 years, the university has grown to become a top centre for education and research in engineering and technology in Central and Central Highlands regions of Vietnam. It currently offers 41 undergraduate programs, 18 master's programs, and 16 doctoral programs, with nearly 18,000 students and 546 staff members.
Deputy Minister of Education Hoang Minh Son emphasized the university's important role in driving innovation, improving the quality of teaching and learning, and enhancing international cooperation.
He encouraged the university to continue building a modern, dynamic, and flexible educational ecosystem, promoting scientific research, and strengthening ties between universities, businesses, and the community.
The university has established partnerships with over 100 universities and research institutes worldwide, participating in projects like Erasmus+, DAAD, and JICA.
On this occasion, the university inaugurated the National Key Laboratory for Mechatronics and Applications. It aims to strengthen human resource training and scientific research, and encourage collaboration, applied research, and innovation. The project runs from 2023 to 2025, with a total investment of VND 40 billion.
