The airport is expected to handle 23,016 international flight movements during the 2026 - 2027 winter schedule, representing an increase of nearly 20% year-on-year, according to Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT).

Under the registered winter flight schedule, running from October 25, 2026, to March 27, 2027, the airport is projected to accommodate 11,505 international arrivals and 11,511 departures, averaging approximately 149 movements per day.

The projected total is 3,792 movements higher than the winter 2025 season.

International air traffic is expected to rise notably from December 2026. A total of 36 airlines are scheduled to operate services to Da Nang, connecting the city with 24 destinations across 10 countries and territories around the world.

These include 19 regular destinations and five non-scheduled destinations. The winter schedule is also expected to welcome four new airlines to the airport.

Cambodia Airways plans to operate three weekly round trips, while Thai Airways is scheduled to offer two daily round trips. In a similar vein, Sun PhuQuoc Airways is expected to operate eight routes, each with one daily round trip.

Likewise, Vietravel Airlines South Korea is expected to remain Da Nang International Airport’s largest international market, with 6,493 scheduled flight movements to and from the country, accounting for 28% of the airport’s total international traffic. China ranks second with 3,754 movements.

Southeast Asian markets are expected to contribute a combined 9,769 movements, representing 42% of the airport’s projected international traffic. The group includes Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia and Myanmar.

The anticipated growth in international flights is expected to further strengthen Da Nang’s air connectivity during the peak winter travel period, supporting tourism, trade and broader international links as the city continues to expand its presence in regional and global markets.

International flight traffic at Da Nang International Airport is expected to rise significantly from December 2026 to February 2027, with higher average daily flight movements than in the early part of the winter season.

AHT will work closely with relevant agencies and partners to strengthen operational resources, particularly at check-in counters, immigration checkpoints, boarding gates and baggage reclaim areas, to accommodate increased demand during peak periods.
