DNO - Da Nang has once again been nominated in the “Asia’s Leading Festival and Event Destination 2026” category of the World Travel Awards.
This demonstrates the city’s enduring appeal in developing tourism through a series of year-round cultural, artistic and entertainment activities.
In recent years, Da Nang has successfully established itself as a vibrant destination with a series of festivals and experiential events throughout all four seasons.
From cultural, sports, tourism, to entertainment events, the city continuously offers new experiences for both residents and visitors.
A major highlight is the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF), which has become the city's signature event and one of the region’s most attractive fireworks festivals.
Previously, the Da Nang Food Tour Festival 2026, held from May 20 to 24, kicked off the summer season with a culinary exploration and hands-on experiences at the East Sea Park, Tam Thanh Beach Square, and many other locations across the city.
Meanwhile, the 4th edition of the Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF IV), lasting from June 28 to July 4, contributed to enhancing Da Nang’s image from a beach and resort destination into a regional hub for culture, creativity and cinematic exchange.
In July, the Enjoy Da Nang Festival 2026 continues to celebrate the city's vibrant beachside summer through a series of activities at the East Sea Park, popular beaches and other venues across the city.
Notably, in addition to the nomination for Asia's Leading Festival and Event Destination 2026, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has also been shortlisted for Asia's Leading Regional Tourist Board 2026.
Music, food, light shows, photo opportunities, community-based activities, and nighttime beach experiences promise to showcase Da Nang as a youthful, dynamic, and inspiring destination.
Together with sporting events, cultural and artistic programs, community-based tourism activities and an expanding night-time economy, the 2026 event calendar demonstrates Da Nang’s ambition to become a destination offering diverse experiences throughout the year.

World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries.
In the Asia’s Leading Festival and Event Destination 2026 category, Da Nang competes alongside major regional cities including Bangkok (Thailand), Beijing (China), Hong Kong (China), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Seoul (South Korea), Shanghai (China), Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).
According to the World Travel Awards, the voting round for the Asia region in 2026 will close on August 7. The Asia, Oceania & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony 2026 will be held in the Maldives on September 27.
