Consuls General of foreign countries in Da Nang pay pre-Tet visits to city leaders

Warmly receiving Chinese Consul General in Da Nang Dong Biyou, Deputy Secretary Vinh expressed his appreciation for the kind sentiments and support she has extended to the city over the past time.

He stated that in the coming time, the city will review existing memoranda of understanding to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation in such areas as economy, trade and tourism.

He also voiced his hope that the Chinese Consul General will support the connection and promotion of air routes between Da Nang and Chinese localities to boost trade exchanges and tourism development.

For her part, Chinese Consul General in Da Nang Dong Biyou congratulated Da Nang on its development achievements in 2025 and expressed her wish for both sides to organize more cultural exchange activities, thereby contributing to further deepening the Vietnam - China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

At a reception for Russian Consul General in Da Nang Maria Mizonova, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh expressed his pleasure and confidence that the cooperative relationships between Da Nang and Russian localities will continue to grow stronger.

Consul General Maria Mizonova extended her Lunar New Year wishes for health and prosperity, and hoped that Da Nang will continue supporting cultural exchange activities between the two sides.

During his meeting with Japanese Consul General in Da Nang Mori Takero, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh highly valued the effective operations and social welfare contributions of the Japanese business community in the city.

He affirmed that Da Nang will fully implement preferential policies and create the most favorable conditions for Japanese investors to expand their projects in the city in the time ahead.

For his part, Consul General Mori Takero thanked the city for facilitating Japanese language training in local schools. He also expressed his confidence that more Japanese enterprises will invest in key sectors such as high technology, microchips and semiconductors.

When receiving Acting Consul General of South Korea in Da Nang Oh Jungtaek, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh reaffirmed the city’s commitment to closely coordinating in support of Korean enterprises to operate effectively in the city.

In reply, Mr. Oh Jungtaek shared his delight that South Korean people were very fond of visiting Da Nang, and expressed his expectation that investment inflows from his country to the city will continue to grow in the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
