“Artisan Stories” Da Nang in June: Where art meets gastronomy

The festival will bring together globally-renowned figures in the world of culinary and creativity arts, including three-Michelin-star chef Christian Le Squer and culinary artisans from Hong Kong (China), Thailand, and Vietnam.

Over the 6-day event, three signature dining venues at the resort will be transformed into vibrant artistic stages, each offering a distinct experience.

Specifically, La Maison 1888, the first Michelin-starred restaurant in Central Vietnam, will be the centerpiece of these experiences.

Meanwhile, contemporary Japanese restaurant Tingara will host a series of exclusive dinners featuring guest chefs from across Asia.

At the same time, Long Bar will become a stage for spectacular cocktail demonstration shows where local flavors are recreated through the creative lens of artists.

Many specific activities will offer hands-on experiences for visitors, including a live cooking demonstration on June 6, and the “Culinary Stars” program featuring chef Loïc Portalier on June 7, chefs Cuong Nguyen and Christian Le Squer on June 8, chef Hoang Tung on June 9; and special guest chef Junichi Yoshida on June 10.

Notably, throughout the program, there will be a blend of culinary, artistic, and entertainment activities, creating a continuous yet unique experience as well as allowing attendees to explore the event through multiple perspectives.

According to Mr. Seif Hamdy, General Manager of InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, the resort aims to offer a fresh way of experiencing Da Nang through cuisine, beverages, and the arts, while contributing to elevating the city’s profile as a destination for gastronomy and culture.

The “Artisan Stories” festival is expected to help expand Da Nang’s tourism product ecosystem toward high-end experiences, where cuisine, culture, and creativity take center stage.
