DNO - The cuisine of Quang land reflects cultural diversity and rich flavours, from simple local fare to famous specialities.

Efforts from the first foundations
In 2025, the Michelin Guide named Da Nang among the world’s Top 10 must-visit culinary destinations, following its recognition in 2024 as Vietnam’s third Michelin culinary city. This milestone reflects years of effort to build the city’s gastronomic brand.
The journey began with La Maison 1888 at the InterContinental Danang, led by chef Pierre Gagnaire, which later earned one Michelin Star and a Sommelier Award, becoming the only starred restaurant in Da Nang.
Meanwhile, Nén Danang Restaurant received Vietnam’s first Michelin Green Star for its sustainable cuisine using nearly all local ingredients, reinforcing confidence in sharing Vietnamese culture through food.
“Ambassadors” bringing culinary values to the world

The 5th Da Nang Professional Chef Competition 2025 highlighted creativity and international integration, encouraging sustainable standards and stronger competitiveness in the culinary and hospitality sector.
Chefs showcased dishes centred around the theme of Da Nang Cuisine Integrating International Flavours, highlighting the notion that cuisine embodies stories and cultural values.
Experts noted chefs play a key role in attracting and retaining visitors, while the event has become a platform for collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development in tourism and hospitality.
Alongside festivals like the Da Nang Food Tour 2025 and the Da Nang Chef Competition, these activities promote the city’s culinary identity and help bring its gastronomy to regional and global audiences.
