DNO - As many as 200 authors and scientists from 11 countries and territories worldwide gathered at Da Nang’s Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area on Saturday for the International Conference on the Digital Economy and Fintech Innovation (DeFi 2025).

Held in central Vietnam for the first time, the conference was initiated and chaired by the Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) - the University of Da Nang in collaboration with South Korea’s Kyung Hee University. The event was organized under the technical sponsorship of the IEEE Vietnam Section and the IEEE Circuits and Systems (CAS) Vietnam Chapter, in partnership with the ACIR Community.
DeFi is an annual international scientific conference, aimed at gradually building a reputable academic brand within the domestic and international research communities in the field of digital economy and fintech innovation.
Serving as an in-depth academic forum, the conference brings together scientists, experts, policymakers, and business representatives to exchange and discuss research findings, technological trends, and challenges and opportunities arising from the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and information technology (IT) into the digital economy and the modern financial ecosystem.

DeFi 2025 featured nearly 100 scientific papers from authors in 11 countries and territories. Of these, 33 papers were selected for presentation at the conference and published in Vol. 1 on the IEEE Xplore system, while 29 papers were presented as posters and published in Vol. 2 of the proceedings with ISBNs issued by the Information and Communications Publishing House.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, Rector of the Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology and Head of DeFi 2025 Organizing Committee, highlighted the significance of DeFi 2025 in fostering interdisciplinary connections, and creates opportunities for young researchers, doctoral candidates, and students to access international academic standards, expand cooperation, and enhance research capacity.
“DeFi 2025 is expected to affirm the university's pioneering role in connecting knowledge, technology, and policy, for a transparent, inclusive, and sustainable digital economy” he noted.
