DNO - In TasteAtlas' latest ranking for the world’s best cuisines of 2026, Vietnam cuisine continues to make a strong impression as it ranks second globally for the number of noodle dishes honored.

Accordingly, 18 out of the top 100 dishes come from Vietnam, showcasing the richness and diversity of Vietnamese cuisine across all three regions of the country.
According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the honored Vietnamese dishes include various versions of ‘pho’ such as beef pho, chicken pho, vegetarian pho, stir-fried pho, and mixed pho.
In addition, noodle soups are highly rated, including ‘bun bo’ (beef noodle soup), ‘bun cha’ (rice vermicelli with grilled pork and fresh herbs), ‘bun thit nuong’ (grilled pork and rice vermicelli), ‘bun rieu’ (crab-based noodle soup), and ‘bun mang vit’ (duck noodle soup with bamboo shoots).
TasteAtlas’ list also celebrates regional noodle specialties that bear a strong Vietnamese identity, such as ‘Mi Quang’ (Quang noodles), ‘Cao Lau’, ‘banh canh’ (rice noodle soup), ‘hu tieu’ (thin rice-noodle soup) and ‘banh da cua’ (crab cake soup with red rice noodles).
Together, these dishes reflect the creativity and depth of Vietnamese culinary art found in every strand of noodles, vermicelli and pho.
