DNO - In the midst of fresh nature, the journey to discover the legend of Ngoc Linh ginseng in Da Nang’s Tra Tap Commune offers visitors a chance to approach the true value of the rare medicinal herb and unique traditional culture.
The tour "Journey to discover the legend of Ngoc Linh ginseng", which originated from the annual Ngoc Linh Ginseng Festival, has now expanded into a complete tourism product. Its aim is to promote, connect and inspire sustainable development in the mountainous region west of Da Nang.
Early in the morning, tour participants depart to the Temple of the Ginseng God in Tra Linh Commune that preserves the spiritual values of the Xo Dang ethnic people.
After the solemn ceremony, visitors continue to hike to the ginseng garden, trekking up a slope for nearly 20 minutes. That seemingly arduous trail becomes a highlight of the trip filled with sounds of birdsong and flowing streams, making visitors feel like stepping into the land of the rarest medicinal herb in Viet Nam.
In the afternoon, customers will continue to move to Tak Po - a tourist site that is currently loved by young people on social networks. This site is considered one of the most stunning cloud-hunting paradises in Da Nang.
When night falls, under the glow of a campfire and the rhythms of local gong dances, visitors have the opportunity to listen to stories about ginseng worshiping rituals, indigenous lifestyles, and the highland community's aspirations for tourism.
The next morning, in the quiet space, the sea of clouds floats in the early morning sun, ending the journey with an emotional scene - a well-earned reward for those who trek through mountains and forests to find an authentic and different experience.
Mr. Blessam, a tourist from Dong Nai, who is familiar with trekking tours, shared "I have been to the forest many times, but this is the first time I have come into contact with a plant with such high medicinal value. What impressed me most was the lunch in the ginseng garden such as wild vegetables, ginseng leaves and fish wrapped in ginseng leaves. It was a new yet flavorful experience, like absorbing the essence of nature into my body".
