DNO - The 7th edition of the Ngoc Linh Ginseng Festival in 2025 themed "Ngoc Linh - A Rising Era" officially opened at Nam Tra My, Tra Tap, Tra Van, Tra Leng and Tra Linh communes in Da Nang on Friday evening.
The festival aims to promote and honour the unique value of Ngoc Linh ginseng - a national treasure, and rare medicinal herbs, along with the culture of the indigenous Xe Dang and Ca Dong people.
It also promotes the potential and strengths of the city whilst arousing the pride and will to rise among the ethnic people in the majestic Truong Son mountain range.
More specifically, this year's event is significant as it coincides with a historic moment when the two-tier local government has officially been in operation for exactly one month. This milestone marks a strong change in the organization of the apparatus, aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of state management activities to better serve the people.
The festival features many activities such as trade events, the "Soul of Ginseng" art programme, the ritual of worshiping the God of Ginseng, a Ginseng competition, trading activities focused on Ngoc Linh ginseng, and community tours to ginseng gardens.
It attracts a large number of scientists, investors and managers in the medicinal herbs industry to participate in and experience.
