DNO - Thousands of domestic and international visitors have flocked to the Sun World Ba Na Hills in Da Nang during the early days of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet) 2026, drawn by a spectacular display of one million tulips in full bloom and an expanded series of traditional Tet celebrations.
Crimson and golden tulips rise gracefully through the mist, their vibrant blooms creating a dreamy, fairytale-like garden setting amid the mountains.
As reported by the Nhan Dan Newspaper, perched atop Ba Na Hills, the mountaintop resort has transformed its spring festivities this year with a four-season park model featuring four themed “worlds above the clouds”.
Each zone offers a distinct atmosphere: a lively and colorful Wonderland, an energetic Sun Kingdom, a romantic and mystical Moon Kingdom, and the tranquil Root Land - designed as a serene space symbolizing a peaceful beginning to the new year.
At the heart of the attraction is a floral “feast” of more than one million tulips representing 36 rare varieties imported directly from the Netherlands.
The flowers have blanketed the hilltop in vibrant spring hues, creating one of the largest tulip displays in Vietnam and reinforcing Ba Na Hills’ reputation as a premier seasonal destination.
Visitors say the experience combines visual spectacle with a sense of renewal. Pham Huong Giang, a tourist from the capital city of Ha Noi, described her visit as perfectly timed.
Surrounded by crisp mountain air and blooming flowers, the setting offered a rare opportunity to relax and recharge for the year ahead.
Beyond its European-inspired landscapes, the destination also highlights Vietnamese cultural heritage.
Traditional Lion-Dragon dance performances, ceremonial processions and mask-painting activities recreate the festive spirit of Tet, blending international aesthetics with local customs.
This year’s appeal has been further strengthened by a new cable car policy introduced on January 1, 2026, allowing each ticket to remain valid for three consecutive days, with unlimited rides within 72 hours of first use - an incentive that has made the destination even more attractive to families.
Across Da Nang, museums and attractions are also embracing the holiday, underscoring the city’s growing reputation as a vibrant spring travel hub.
