Startup Runway 2025 in Da Nang: Launchpad for Vietnamese student innovation

DNO - Students from across Vietnam gathered in Da Nang on August 23 for the final round of Startup Runway 2025 organized by the University of Economics under the University of Da Nang.

The event attracted young talents not only from local universities and high schools but also from cities such as Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Binh, Dong Nai and Long An, reflecting the growing nationwide interest in entrepreneurship and innovation.

The grand finale featured 11 outstanding teams, divided into two independent categories: 5 high school teams and 6 university teams. These finalists were carefully selected from 50 teams that stood out during the idea exhibition.

The organizers will award first, second, and third prizes for each category, with a total prize pool of VND 250 million, including cash and scholarships.

Launched in February 2025, Startup Runway has three competitive stages: preliminary, exhibition, and final. 570 students registered to participate, forming 158 teams (125 teams from 34 universities and colleges and 33 teams from 16 high schools).

Over its nine seasons, the competition has become a springboard for projects winning national and international awards, with some advancing toward commercialization.
