DNO - A series of cultural and artistic activities recently took place in Da Nang, marking the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - 2026).

The 1st Da Nang Ao Dai Festival happened on the evening of October 17, featuring an Ao dai parade that spanned approximately 800 meters, from Binh Minh 10 Street to APEC Park.
A large number of local women’s union members, women, children, residents, and tourists, who dressed in Ao dai with diverse colors and styles representing different regions of the country, participated in the event. It creates a vibrant atmosphere along the pedestrian-friendly streets in the city center.
Chairwoman of the Da Nang Chapter of the Vietnam Ao Dai Culture Association, Nguyen Thi Lan Vy, stated that the event aimed not only to foster a joyful atmosphere in celebration of October 20 but also to honor, promote, and pass on the cultural values embodied by the Vietnamese Ao dai.
The presence of the Ao dai in the urban landscape makes Vietnamese traditional dress closer to the community, residents, and visitors alike, thereby showcasing Da Nang's culture and people in contemporary life.
Also on the afternoon of October 17, the art exhibition "Charm and Colors of the Three Regions" (Duyen sac ba mien) opened at the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum, showcasing 43 works by 21 female artists from Ha Noi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Previously, on October 16, the Da Nang Union of Literature and Arts Associations hosted a gathering for the city’s female artists and writers, themed “Women and Creativity: Resilience, Aspiration, and Devotion.”
