DNO - The "South Korean Street Art Exchange” programme was held in Da Nang’s Hoi An Ward on Monday, featuring the participation of artists from Yeongam.
The programme aimed to enhance international cultural cooperation and exchange between Vietnamese and South Korean localities, while continuing to carry out the tasks of building a UNESCO Creative City in the field of crafts and folk arts.
During the event, the audience was treated to colorful street art performances by artist Mo Hyeyun who is honoured by the Korean Arts Council as a young artist preserving traditional music, and artist Lee Seon Jin who is a master of 25-string Gayageum and a recipient of the Presidential Prize.
Also, there were exciting performances by artists from the Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation.
The programme highlighted the spirit of cultural exchange and affirmed the value of music as a borderless language, connecting communities and inspiring solidarity among ethnic groups.
Located in Jeollanam Province, South Korea, Yeongam is famous for the Yeongam Gurim Hanok ancient village with a historical architecture of about 2,200 years, along with many unique cultural festivals. The place has long been a cradle for the preservation and continuation of traditional arts.
With many similarities and special love for Hoi An, Da Nang - the land of ecology, culture, tourism and creativity of Viet Nam, artists from Yeongam brought captivating performances and connected with artists, people and tourists in Hoi An.
