DNO - The “Meet South Korea in Da Nang” conference on Friday, as part of the Vietnam - South Korea Festival 2025, is a good opportunity for Da Nang and South Korean partners to exchange and promote strategic cooperation opportunities in the new era.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Council Doan Ngoc Hung Anh said that the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and South Korea were officially established on December 22, 1992. Since then, the relationship between the two countries has developed strongly into “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership”.
The city has proactively promoted cooperation with South Korean partners and localities in various fields, gradually becoming a notable highlight on the local cooperation map between Vietnam and South Korea.
The city is ready to be a bridge for South Korean organizations and businesses to seek suitable partners, expand the cooperation network, and maximize the market potential of Central Vietnam.
Minister-Counsellor and Consul General of the South Korean Embassy in Vietnam Chang Ho-Seung said that Da Nang is expected to become a key growth driver for Vietnam in many areas such as economy, trade, logistics and tourism.
The South Korean Embassy in Vietnam and the Consulate General of South Korea in Da Nang are committed to providing their full support to enhance the collaboration between Da Nang and South Korean localities in particular, and between Viet Nam and South Korea in general, in a more vibrant manner.
During the event, South Korean localities and partners, and representatives of Da Nang departments and agencies, together discussed and exchanged on strengthening bilateral cooperation.
They also explored strategies to promote collaboration in areas such as investment, trade, science and technology, high-quality tourism, and high-tech agriculture. These sectors have the potential to drive long-term development and align the interests of both Da Nang and South Korea in the new era.
