In the first seven months of 2025, the central coastal hub welcomed more than 3 million international arrivals, including over 1 million visitors from South Korea. Unlike many other markets, South Korean tourists travel to Da Nang year-round, creating no concept of a “low season.”

In an effort to sustain this momentum, the city has built an evolving ecosystem of tourism products and services tailored for international guests, particularly the South Korean market.

Recent initiatives include the ‘South Korean Visitors Appreciation Week’ held from August 1 - 8, a familiarization trip for South Korean travel companies, a golf exchange tournament and a gala event connecting business partners from both countries.

These initiatives have helped strengthen long-term cooperation and diversify visitor experiences.

“Da Nang is constantly innovating and building strong partnerships with the South Korean market, with the goal of delivering diverse travel experiences that reinforce the city’s position on the global tourism map,” said Nguyen Duc Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association and Chairman of the Da Nang Hotel Association.

Echoing this view, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Tran Chi Cuong, emphasized South Korea’s significance beyond tourism, highlighting its role as a leading partner in investment, trade, and cultural exchange.

“Millions of South Korean visitors each year are living proof of the strong, effective relationship between the two countries and the affection that Koreans have for Da Nang,” he noted.

With its growing reputation, consistent innovation, and the steady flow of South Korean travellers, Da Nang is positioning itself not only as Vietnam’s premier coastal destination but also as a key link in regional tourism development.
