Sekong Provincial leader pays pre-Tet visit to Da Nang

During his reception for the Lao delegation, Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Pham Duc An affirmed that Da Nang always cherished its cooperative relationship with the south-central provinces of Laos, including Sekong Province.

Alongside the implementation of the Memoranda of Understanding during the 2023 - 2027 period, Da Nang is currently accelerating procedures to develop a project on strengthening cooperation between Da Nang and localities of Laos for the 2026 - 2030 period. This is an important basis for further promoting comprehensive and in-depth cooperation.

The city leader expressed his hope that Da Nang and Sekong Province will continue to maintain exchanges of delegations at all levels, and effectively implement the signed projects.

He also stressed the need for both sides to enhance substantive cooperation in the fields of investment, trade, tourism and transportation, as well as actively participate in trade promotion events.

On behalf of the delegation, Deputy Secretary of the Sekong Provincial Party Committee Khanti Silavongsa thanked Da Nang for the warm welcome and expressed his appreciation for the city’s valuable support for projects and programs carried out in Sekong Province in recent years.

On the occasion of Viet Nam’s traditional Lunar New Year, he extended his best wishes to the Party Committee, government, and people of Da Nang.

He voiced his hope that the two localities will continue to cooperate and sign additional cooperation agreements in the future. He also wished that the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general, and Da Nang and Sekong in particular, will forever flourish and endure for generations to come.
