Notably, the Vietnam Lotus Village Educational and Welfare Complex in Quang Phu Ward has seen several facilities completed and put into effective operation, including a foreign language center, a kindergarten, a vocational training center and the Kack Huyn Elderly Care Center.
To date, the city has approved 49 aid packages sponsored by ILV, with total committed funding exceeding 400 million KRW.
The city’s leader affirmed her commitment and full support for the Kack Huyn Elderly Care Center Upgrade Project, which was selected and approved by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) under its 2027 cooperation program.
She informed that the municipal People’s Committee has agreed the allocation of counterpart funding from the city budget for the project.
The city has also designated the agency responsible for taking over the center upon completion of Phase 2, scheduled for 2027 - 2029.

Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi pledged that the municipal government would continue to facilitate the project’s implementation in compliance with regulations.
She emphasized the importance of upgrading the facility in improving the quality of comprehensive care services for older people and laying the groundwork for expanding the model across Da Nang in the coming years.
For his part, ILV Chairman Cho Dang Ho thanked the city authorities for their close coordination and support in recent years.
He said that during its second phase of the project (2027 - 2029), the Kack Huyn Elderly Care Center would continue developing three service components: day care, home-based care and short-term care, following the RoK’s advanced elderly care model.
Mr. Cho Dang Ho voiced his hope that Da Nang would continue supporting the project to ensure its effective implementation and completion on schedule.
