(QNO) - Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, affirmed the provincial commitment to facilitating long-term investment at the March 5 conference on provincial planning and investment promotion through 2025.
Also present at the conference were provincial leaders, department heads, local authorities, and nearly 100 businesses and investor associations from inside and outside the province.
Quang Nam’s goals
In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Le Van Dung emphasised that the event marks an important step in realising Quang Nam's strategic vision to unlock its full potential, balancing economic growth with environmental protection.
He highlighted key projects, including the provincial master plan, the development of a medicinal herb hub with Ngoc Linh ginseng as the key role, and investment promotion through 2025.
Priority areas for investment attraction
Accordingly, Quang Nam is prioritising investment in areas such as transport infrastructure, logistics, airports, seaports, energy, water supply, waste treatment, mining, industrial parks, high-tech agriculture, urban areas, tourism, education, healthcare, and social welfare.
The province also seeks investment in organic and high-tech agriculture, sustainable forestry, carbon credit markets, medicinal herb cultivation under forest canopies, and modern fisheries, with a focus on creating high-value agricultural products.
After the announcements, many investors expressed enthusiasm. Do Xuan Dien, Chairman of the Quang Nam Business Association in the South, said that despite being a small group of mostly SMEs, they are eager to invest in their hometown, seeing it as both an economic opportunity and a meaningful way to contribute to Quang Nam’s growth.
Wide open for investors
At the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized the government’s strong support for Quang Nam through key projects such as Chu Lai Airport, Cua Lo Port, Hoi An heritage preservation, and the Ngoc Linh ginseng industry.
