(QNO) - On February 27, a delegation from the German Business Association (GBA), led by Chairman Alexander Ziehe, had a working session with Quang Nam authorities to explore investment opportunities.
A strategic destination for German businesses
According to Alexander Ziehe, Quang Nam is becoming a strategic destination for German businesses due to its prime location, improving infrastructure, and attractive investment policies.
Leading companies like Draexlmeier, OBE, Groz Becker, Robinson, and Kaercher have already established a presence, laying a foundation for further investment.
GBA called for closer collaboration to enhance competitiveness and address challenges such as skilled labour shortages, incomplete infrastructure, and complex procedures.
They also proposed specialized industrial zones for high-tech industries, focusing on precision engineering, automation, and renewable energy.
Wolfgang Thomar, Kaercher’s Executive Vice President, praised Quang Nam’s government support, skilled workforce, and improving transport links. He also urged workforce training and Vietnam - Germany partnerships.
Creating a favourable investment environment
Nguyen Qui Quy, Deputy Director of Home Affairs, emphasized Quang Nam’s workforce training, administrative reforms, and foreign-business collaboration to streamline investment.
Hoang Chau Son, Deputy Head of the Economic and Industrial Zones Authority, highlighted tax incentives, fast-tracked (7-day) investment approvals, and transport improvements to support businesses.
Deputy Chairman Phan Thai Binh stressed 50-70% faster administrative processing, business support teams, and major projects like Chu Lai Airport’s 4F upgrade, Cua Lo dredging, and industrial hubs.
Quang Nam remains committed to direct dialogue, addressing challenges, and supporting German businesses for long-term growth while expanding investment opportunities.
Founded in 1995, GBA Vietnam strengthens Germany-Vietnam economic ties, represents over 370 companies, and fosters business collaboration and cultural exchange.
