DNO - For the second consecutive year, Vietnam has participated in the Tokyo International Film Festival Content Market (TIFFCOM). This year's event took place from October 28 to 30.

At the TIFFCOM 2026, the Vietnam Film Pavilion was opened on October 28 by the Vietnam Film Development Association (VFDA) to showcase a range of the country’s cinematic activities, potential filming locations, and the policies and capacity to host international film productions.
In particular, Quang Ninh is introduced with its diverse system of landscapes, notably its seascapes, islands, limestone karsts, and Ha Long Bay.
Meanwhile, Hai Phong offers advantages with its urban scenery, seaports, islands, and coastal areas.
Da Nang boasts a wide variety of film settings capable of diverse genres and production scales. Alongside, the city will host the 5th Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF V) in 2027.
The Vietnam pavilion welcomed producers, distributors, and content companies from Japan and various other markets, including TVB Limited from Hong Kong (China).
Alongside, representatives from Gateway Entertainment (Japan) expressed interest in the possibility of choosing Vietnam as a filming location, as well as submitting films to the fifth Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF V).

TIFFCOM is Asia’s leading content market, affiliated with Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF).
It brings together a wide variety of content holders focusing on film, television and animation. It has achieved success as a major networking platform, attracting professional buyers and producers not only from Asian countries but also from all over the world.
This year's event attracted 322 exhibitors and nearly 4,600 attendees from 46 countries and territories.
Taking part in the festival, VFDA Chairwoman Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan hoped the pavilion would serve as a regular hub for Vietnamese cinema in Tokyo, Japan. It aims to go beyond showcasing the national image to become a “common home” where Vietnamese filmmakers and producers can meet with partners, present works and seek cooperation whenever they are in Tokyo.
