“Our Quang Homeland” gameshow highlights Da Nang cultural identity

DNO - The 10th season of “Que Minh Xu Quang” (Our Quang Homeland), a popular television gameshow showcasing the culture, traditions, and everyday life of Da Nang, officially opened in Son Cam Ha Commune on September 27.

The opening show, jointly organised by Da Nang Newspaper and Radio & Television (DNRT) and the Son Cam Ha Commune People’s Committee, brought together two teams from Hoi An and Phu Lam, offering local audiences an entertaining morning filled with folk culture, knowledge, and friendly competition.

Launched as a platform to promote the distinctive cultural and artistic traditions of the region, the gameshow has completed nine seasons, with 52 communes and wards having hosted the programme. The 10^th season features five shows staged in Son Cam Ha, Thu Bon, Tam Hai, Tam My and Dien Ban Tay.

Through games and performances, the programme invites contestants and audiences to explore the cultural identity, livelihoods, and community spirit of each locality.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, journalist Nguyen Huu Dong, the Deputy Director of Da Nang Newspaper and Radio & Television, said the programme includes five main sections: “Fun with Farmers”, “Skillful Hands”, “Farmers’ Knowledge”, “Farmers’ Competition” and an audience challenge.

The games are designed to bring local culture to life through folk songs, chants, dances, and music celebrating people and their homeland.

At the same time, the programme encourages communities to contribute to new-style rural development, improve agricultural production, develop OCOP products and preserve traditional crafts.
