New Chinese Consul General in Da Nang pays courtesy call on city official

Mr Nguyen Xuan Binh congratulated Li Weiwei on her new appointment and expressed his hope that, in her new capacity, the Consul General of China in Da Nang would make practical contributions to further strengthening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in a stable and sustainable manner.

He also expressed his expectation that the Consulate General of China in Da Nang would continue to maintain and expand connections between Da Nang and Chinese localities, contributing to stronger exchanges and cooperation in the coming time.

Li Weiwei expressed her pleasure at witnessing Da Nang’s significant socio-economic development. She spoke highly of the city’s strategic development orientations, particularly its plans for Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang (VIFC-DN), Free Trade Zone, High-tech Park and seaport.

The Chinese Consul General affirmed her readiness to work closely with the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs to promote people-to-people exchanges and strengthen and expand cooperation between Da Nang and Chinese localities and partners.

She also expressed her willingness to coordinate with the Department in organising the “Meet China” programme, implementing Chinese Language Day and promoting delegation exchanges and other activities.

Through closer coordination and regular exchanges, both sides aim to further deepen cooperation and foster stronger links between Da Nang and its Chinese partners.
