(QNO) – On June 15, Hoi An hosted the seminar “Innovation Roadmap and Vision for Hoi An’s Creative Space,” launching key activities of the project “Promoting Youth and Community Innovation for Sustainable Urban Development”.
The project is implemented by UN-Habitat with funding from Switzerland’s organization Fondation Botnar. It is led by Hoi An Youth Union and the Hoi An Centre for Culture, Sports, Radio and Television, in collaboration with local enterprises, associations, and young people.
At the workshop, the Multilayer Creative Map was officially launched - a digital platform showcasing the creative capacities, resources, and actors in Hoi An and Tam Ky.
The “Brand Investment - Sales Accelerations” campaign was also introduced, aiming to mobilize community funding and deliver support packages for local businesses.
The initiative, launched by UN-Habitat, offers practical support to help local small and medium-sized enterprises strengthen their competitiveness through brand development, social media engagement, CRM application, and e-commerce integration.
Alongside this, Hoi An has kicked off a Creative Space Design Contest starting June 17, inviting designers, artists, and community groups to submit ideas for a shared space in Central Park that is sustainable, inclusive, and community-driven.
Meanwhile, the Hoi An Young Leadership Program is being implemented to equip 50 outstanding high school students with leadership skills, personal development tools, and the ability to lead community initiatives.
As a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, Hoi An continues to promote public-private collaboration and unlock its creative potential for sustainable urban development.
This process centers on heritage, crafts, and folk arts, reflecting Hoi An’s unique blend of village and city life. At its heart is the younger generation, driving innovation by combining local wisdom with a global outlook.
