DNO - A ceremony was held in An Thang Ward, Da Nang, on Tuesday, to inaugurate the upgraded and expanded the DH1 road to the house of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Thu after nearly 8 months of construction.
Work started on the project in November 2024. The road is 708.7m long and includes 4 branch sections. It features a roadbed width of 9.5m, road surface width of 7.5m, and sidewalk width of 2m. The project costs VND 8.3 billion in total.
In particular, the road has been newly designed with an asphalt concrete pavement structure and a macadam base, alongside a drainage system made up of centrifugal concrete circular pipes and catch basins, ensuring surface water drainage for the entire project and surrounding residential area. The project also includes a lighting system.

According to Mr. Dang Cong Nhien, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Thang Ward, the concrete roads leading to the house of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Thu were constructed nearly 20 years ago and have deteriorated significantly, posing serious risks to traffic safety. During the rainy season, stagnant water often accumulates, affecting both hygiene and neighborhood aesthetics.
Meanwhile, every year, the house welcomes many visitors at both home and abroad, including high-ranking leaders of the Party and the State.
He, therefore, stressed the necessity of the upgrade and expansion of the DH1 road leading to the house of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Thu.
