(QNO) - On the evening of June 2, the first flight, numbered EK370, from Dubai (UAE) landed at Da Nang International Airport (transiting in Bangkok, Thailand), officially marking the presence of Emirates Airlines in Vietnam's Da Nang city.
Flight EK370 landed at Da Nang International Airport at 7:50 p.m. on June 2, carrying 333 international passengers aboard a Boeing 777- a wide-body aircraft offering three cabin classes.
This marks the inaugural flight of Emirates’ regular operations on the Dubai - Bangkok - Da Nang route, with a frequency of four flights per week: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
According to Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the launch of Emirates flights to Da Nang helps the city connect with over 140 global destinations served by the airline, including key markets in the Middle East, Europe, North America and Africa.
The new air route not only promotes tourism development but also expands opportunities for trade, investment, and cultural-economic exchange, contributing to Da Nang’s global outreach under the message: “Discover the Stories of Da Nang”.
Emirates is recognized as the largest and most extensive airline in the Middle East, operating up to 4,100 flights per week from Dubai International Airport and connecting to 140 cities in over 80 countries worldwide.
In Vietnam, Emirates currently operates 25 flights per week: 7 on the Hanoi - Dubai route, 14 on the Ho Chi Minh City - Dubai route, and 4 on the newly launched Da Nang route.
