Hoi An in Da Nang has been named one of the best destinations in Asia 2025, placing 5th in Travel + Leisure’s prestigious list of the top 15 travel spots across the continent.

The ranking was based on a global survey of over 180,000 readers who evaluated cities on criteria such as sightseeing, culture, cuisine, friendliness, shopping, and overall value.
With an impressive score of 91 out of 100, Hoi An stands out for its well-preserved ancient architecture, laid-back charm, and vibrant street food scene. Its blend of heritage and hospitality has long made it a favorite among both regional and international travelers.
Vietnam had another entry on the list, with the capital city of Ha Noi taking the 12th spot. Other renowned Asian destinations included Chiang Mai and Bangkok (Thailand), Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka (Japan), Seoul (South Korea) and Singapore.
This recognition further cements Vietnam’s growing appeal on the global tourism map. For Hoi An, it marks another milestone in promoting sustainable tourism while preserving its rich cultural legacy.
