DNO - Renowned travel magazine Travel + Leisure (T+L) has recently announced its list of the top 10 best cities in the world for 2025, with Hoi An as the only representative from Vietnam.
Part of the World’s Best Awards 2025, this year's ranking focuses on criteria such as diverse cuisine, unique accommodations, vibrant nightlife, strong cultural heritage, and reasonable costs for travellers.
Hoi An ranks 6th, scoring 91 out of 100 points from readers worldwide. The ancient town impressed travellers with its unique blend of local and foreign architectural styles, its interwoven canal system, and the warmth and friendliness of its people.
According to T+L editors, visitors love strolling or taking photos along moss-covered stone-paved streets, exploring cosy cafes and craft shops, and enjoying the lively food and cultural scene at night.
This year’s list is dominated by Asian cities, which claimed 7 out of the top 10 spots, including Chiang Mai (Thailand), Tokyo (Japan), Bangkok (Thailand), Jaipur (India), Hoi An (Vietnam), Kyoto (Japan), and Ubud (Indonesia).
