Located at 53 Le Dinh Chinh, Ngu Hanh Son Ward, the Food Bank Da Nang provides emergency support to people affected by natural disasters, storms, floods, and other difficult circumstances.
Also at the event, the Da Nang Food Community project was introduced.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mrs. Le Thi Nhu Hong, President of the Da Nang Red Cross Society, emphasized the significance of the launching of the Food Bank Da Nang and the introduction of the Da Nang Food Community project in mobilizing food resources in the community and businesses to donate and support the disadvantaged across the city.
She noted that the Food Bank will not only provide food for those in need, but also connect humanity, spread good human values, and the spirit of mutual love.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khoi, Chairman of the Vietnam Foodbanking Network, shared “We believe that the launch of Food Bank Da Nang and the implementation of the Da Nang Food Community project is not only a local activity, but also an important step in the journey to build a humane and sustainable food ecosystem in Vietnam”.

It also plays a connecting role between supply sources from businesses, farmers, and manufacturers with those in need of support such as poor households, vulnerable groups, people with disabilities, shelters, and charity houses.
