Deputy Secretary of Da Nang Party Committee receives Laos’ Pasaxon Newspaper delegation

DNO - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh, on Wednesday, received a delegation from Laos’ Pasaxon Newspaper led by its Editor-in-Chief Vansay Tavinyan, who is also Deputy Head of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee’s Propaganda and Training Board.

Deputy Secretary Vinh informed his Lao guests about the city’s socio-economic development situation over the first eight months of 2025.

He noted that Da Nang has cooperated with five provinces of Central and Southern Laos in various aspects.

The city official emphasized that the Party, State and people of Vietnam in general, and the Party and people of Da Nang in particular, always attached special importance to fostering the special traditional friendship between the two Parties, two States and people of Vietnam and Laos.

Mr. Vinh also expressed appreciation for Da Nang’s information published in Pasaxon Newspaper, which helped connect Lao localities with the city as well as deepen people-to-people relations between the two countries.

At the meeting, Editor-in-Chief of the Da Nang Newspaper and Radio - Television Doan Xuan Hieu briefed the Lao delegation on the agency’s operations.

He added that following the recent merger, the Da Nang Newspaper and Radio -Television now comprised a print newspaper, television channels, radio, online newspaper and digital platforms, with the goal of building a converged newsroom across multiple media formats in the coming time.

Editor-in-Chief Hieu said that, as the city's key press agency, the Da Nang Newspaper and Radio - Television has fulfilled its mission of publicizing cooperation activities between Da Nang and Lao localities, agencies and units. He also expressed his desire to strengthen professional exchanges with the Pasaxon Newspaper in the time to come.

For his part, Editor-in-Chief of Pasaxon Newspaper Vansay Tavinyan thanked Da Nang for its warm welcome and expressed his honor and emotion when visiting and working in Da Nang for the first time.

He noted that Pasaxon has regularly reported on Da Nang, bringing information and images of the city to Lao readers, particularly on cooperation and twinning activities between Lao provinces and Da Nang.

The Pasaxon Editor-in-Chief voiced his hope to further expand collaboration with the Nhan Dan Newspaper and local Vietnamese press agencies through training programs and professional exchanges between journalists.
