Da Nang wishes to become part of global semiconductor ecosystem

Within the framework of the ongoing Da Nang Finance and Tech Week 2025, Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet warmly received Ms. Linda Tan, President of SEMI SEA, on Friday.

During her meeting with the city leader, Ms. Linda Tan gave an overview introduction about SEMI SEA. She also expressed her hope that Da Nang will become part of the global semiconductor ecosystem that SEMI SEA is building.

She also informed that the association also closely cooperated with the National Innovation Center (NIC) to create many opportunities for Da Nang to attract investment in the field of semiconductor and high-tech product packaging.

She pledged to support the city in the training and development of high-quality human resources in the field.

For his part, Chairman Triet thanked President of SEMI SEA for her attendance at the Da Nang Finance and Tech Week 2025, as well as her visit to the city’s leaders.

He affirmed that the semiconductor industry was one of the important economic drivers that the city has identified and prioritized in the current period.

Da Nang will closely cooperate with SEMI SEA in training human resources and developing the semiconductor ecosystem, he stated.

Mr. Triet also expressed his desire that SEMI SEA will introduce and connect the city to reach deeper into the network of businesses and investors in the industry in the time to come.

Da Nang committed to actively joining common activities of the industry, especially the forthcoming Semiconductor Day in Ha Noi and other specialized forums, he emphasized.

The city leader also expressed confidence in the strong development of the local semiconductor industry in the coming years thanks to the close cooperation among the government, businesses and international organizations such as SEMI SEA.
