Da Nang Finance and Tech Week 2025 officially opens

Held in the city from August 28 to 30, the event was organized by the People's Committee of Da Nang and the Central Policy and Strategy Committee.

The Da Nang Finance and Tech Week 2025 attracts nearly 30 diplomatic agencies, 50 international experts and speakers, and more than 320 delegates including leaders of ministries, agencies and localities, members of the Prime Minister's Policy Advisory Council, representatives from international financial organizations, strategic investors, corporations, enterprises, financial institutions and banks.

The week features a series of important activities aimed at promoting international cooperation, attracting investment, and developing key science and technology fields which Da Nang is prioritizing.

The event is being held in a hybrid format, both in person at the Da Nang Administrative Center and online.

The forum serves as a platform for bilateral and multilateral dialogue between Vietnam and the international community in financial sector, contributing to enhancing the position of Vietnam's International Financial Center.

It also aims to boost the application of blockchain technology in key economic sectors, and at the same time gather feedback to perfect the testing mechanism (sandbox) for digital assets.

Additionally, there are discussions related to professional exchanges, trend updates, and cooperation proposals in the semiconductor sector, as well as ways to foster linkages between R&D, pilot production, and commercialization, especially in advanced packaging technologies and photonic chips.

Moreover, the event highlights the potential, advantages, and cooperation and investment opportunities in Da Nang and Vietnam to businesses, investors, and international organizations.

At the same time, by integrating the three pillars of finance - blockchain technology - semiconductors, the event will contribute to building Da Nang’s brand as a new hub for international finance, innovation and core technologies in Vietnam and the region, thereby promoting the rapid and sustainable growth based on science, technology, innovation and international integration.

The forum marks an important milestone in the process of building an international financial center in Vietnam, and at the same time opens up a space for bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Vietnam and the international community, enhancing the position of the Vietnam International Financial Center in the Global Financial Centres Index.
