DNO - The reception of a nearly 5,000-member MICE delegation has once again affirmed Da Nang's capability to host large-scale programs and strengthened its position as one of MICE tourism destinations in Vietnam and the region.

According to the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, a MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) group of nearly 5,000 people from WinCommerce General Commercial Services JSC arrived in the city in early June.
This has been one of the largest MICE groups to visit the city since the beginning of the year.
Arranged by the Vietravel Tourism JSC, the group members participated in conferences, leisure activities, and visits to popular tourist attractions, as well as experienced local cuisine.
Da Nang boasts many outstanding advantages for the MICE tourism development thanks to its synchronized infrastructure, high-quality services, and diverse tourism products.

With experience in organizing large-scale programs and comprehensive coordination capabilities, Vietravel is proud to have successfully organized events involving thousands of participants in Da Nang.
The active support and close cooperation from the municipal government, relevant departments, and functional forces have played an important role in ensuring the success of such events, a Vietravel representative shared.
The arrival of the nearly 5,000-member delegation in the first days of June extends a growing series of large-scale MICE events hosted in Da Nang.
This highlights the city’s increasing appeal to domestic and international businesses and corporations seeking a destination for meetings, conferences, incentive travel, and exhibitions.

In addition to attracting large-scale groups, Da Nang is continuing to refine its policy system to develop MICE tourism in a professional and sustainable manner.
Since 2021, the city's MICE tourism promotion program has been implemented and has yielded many positive results.
In 2026, the program is further upgraded under the theme “Da Nang - Elevating MICE Tourism Experience”. It focuses on expanding support policies for travel agencies, event organizers, and domestic and international MICE groups.
Notably, this year the city's tourism industry introduced the “MICE - The Rising Wave" Award for the first time to honour businesses that have made outstanding contributions to attracting MICE visitors in 2025.
The award recognizes pioneering enterprises that have helped connect markets and successfully organized large-scale events, bringing high-quality visitors to Da Nang.
In the first five months of 2026, Da Nang provided consultation services and welcomed approximately 101 domestic and international MICE groups with a total of over 28,400 visitors. International visitors accounted for nearly 19,000 arrivals, coming from such key markets as India, Malaysia, China, and Singapore.
Da Nang currently boasts one of Vietnam’s leading systems of high-quality accommodation facilities, with a large number of four- and five-star hotels and resorts.
With its strategic location in central Vietnam, convenient access to UNESCO World Heritage sites, expanding international flight network, beautiful beaches, and safe tourism environment, the city has become a preferred destination for MICE travelers.
The continued growth of this high-value tourist segment is expected to play an important role in advancing Da Nang’s ambition to become an international hub for tourism, events, conferences, and exhibitions in the years ahead.
