Da Nang tourist hotspots come alive with diverse New Year 2026 celebrations

As the countdown to the new year began, the Furama Resort Danang launched its festive season with a range of attractions designed to delight visitors.

Highlights included a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, a Christmas Eve celebration featuring Santa Claus, and an elaborate buffet experience.

For New Year’s Eve 2026, the resort will host its most spectacular Cabaret gala of the year on December 31 evening.

In parallel with that, the resort will partner with the Trung Vuong Theater to present a professionally curated arts performance at the International Convention Palace (ICP).

Inspired by the glamour of Parisian cabaret stages of the 1930s, the “Red Velvet Cabaret Night” recreates the bold, free-spirited and cinematic essence of a golden era.

More than a performance, it integrates light, music and emotion into an immersive artistic expression.

Looking ahead to the Lunar New Year 2026, Furama Resort Danang will host a three-day traditional Tet village market, featuring folk music, traditional dances and fireworks.

Visitors will have the opportunity to relive memories of old-style Tet shopping using ration stamps, watch calligraphy masters at work and enjoy a wide range of accessibly-priced Vietnamese dishes.

Meanwhile, at the Nui Than Tai Hot Springs Park, the festive atmosphere continues throughout the Western New Year holiday.

The tourist site's colourful and warmly decorated spaces provide an ideal backdrop for year-end relaxation and entertainment.

During the Lunar New Year, the long-running God of Wealth Festival will once again take place, offering visitors symbolic rituals for prosperity, luck and positive beginnings.

Community-driven celebrations also play a central role this year. Toom Sara Cultural Village will host the ‘A Kind Tet for the Village’, combining cultural festivities with environmental initiatives such as native forest planting and sustainable livelihoods for the Co Tu ethnic community.

Citywide celebrations officially began on December 30 with the opening of the Da Nang New Year Festival at the eastern bank of the Dragon Bridge.

Key highlights include the Countdown 2026 concert on December 31, featuring popular Vietnamese artists and fireworks, and the “Da Nang Concert 2026 - Endless Flow” on January 1 at the Museum of Da Nang.

For the first time, Da Nang is introducing a large-scale night run, “Lighting Up the Han River - Run to the Future”, inviting participants to welcome the new year at midnight in a uniquely dynamic way.

With more than 500 tourism and service enterprises taking part, the festive season is set to give Da Nang a lively start to 2026 and reinforce its position as a leading regional destination for culture and events.
