Da Nang New Year Festival 2026 kicks off

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized that Da Nang always considered culture as its spiritual foundation and tourism as a spearhead economic sector. In this context, events and festivals played a crucial role in enhancing the appeal of the destination, stimulating consumption, and promoting local socio-economic development, she added.

To diversify tourism products and enrich experiences for residents and visitors during the year-end period, the Da Nang People's Committee has directed relevant agencies and units to coordinate the organization of the Da Nang New Year Festival 2026. The five-day event runs from December 30, 2025 - January 3, 2026 with a series of cultural, sports, and entertainment activities held across major locations throughout the city.

“We believe the festival will become a distinctive annual event, not only connecting the cultural life of Da Nang residents with international friends, but also reinforcing the city’s position as a leading year-end destination” Mrs. Thi noted.

Also on the same evening, the “Da Nang - Welcome New Year 2026” Boulevard along the Bach Dang Walking Street officially opened to the public.

Designed as an open, continuous festival space, the boulevard is structured around three thematic zones: music, creativity and dance that harmoniously combine performing arts and interactive community activities.

As part of the festival, the city has also introduced a series of unique check-in installation models, diverse food spaces, and large-scale art programs, including the Countdown Mega Concert "Shining Harmony", the Da Nang Concert 2026 “Endless Flow”, and the program “Hoi An - Welcome New Year 2026”.
