During the upcoming traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, the city will be affected by a weakening cold air mass shifting eastward, combined with a low-pressure trough moving south.

As a result, skies will range from partly cloudy to mostly cloudy, with scattered drizzle and fog in some areas overnight and early morning before clearing.

Minimum temperatures in lowland areas are expected to range 20 - 22°C, while mountainous areas will see lows of 19 - 21°C.

From February 19 to 20, a new northeast monsoon is likely to influence the region, bringing scattered showers and cooler conditions.

Minimum temperatures are forecast to drop slightly to 19 - 21°C in lowlands and 18 - 20°C in mountainous districts.

Between February 21 and 22, the cold air mass will stabilise and gradually weaken as the subtropical high-pressure system expands westward.

Weather conditions are expected to improve, with intermittent showers and sunshine returning during the day.

Minimum temperatures will rise again to around 20 - 22°C in the plains and 19 - 21°C in the mountains.

Overall, the forecast indicates a mix of mild temperatures, occasional rain and daytime sunshine across Da Nang, offering relatively comfortable outdoor conditions despite brief periods of drizzle and cooler air.

The 2026 Tet holiday in Vietnam for civil servants and public employees is scheduled for nine consecutive days, from Saturday (February 14) to Sunday (February 22).
