DNO - Thai Airways and Huong Giang Aviation Services Co., Ltd. (HG Aviation) held the “Connecting Da Nang to the World 2026” seminar in Da Nang on September 17, highlighting the role of air connectivity in expanding the city’s international tourism markets.

Da Nang and Bangkok are currently connected by 48 round-trip flights per week, while Thailand has been the largest source of visitors to Da Nang among Southeast Asian markets since the beginning of 2026.
Thai Airways is scheduled to officially launch a new Da Nang-Bangkok route on December 1, 2026, adding another direct air link between the two destinations. The new service is expected to provide passengers with greater travel convenience while strengthening Da Nang’s access to Bangkok, one of the region’s major aviation hubs.
At the seminar, participants discussed the significance of connecting Da Nang with Thai Airways’ international network, as well as opportunities to attract more international visitors to the city and strengthen links between Thailand, Vietnam and key global markets.
The new route is expected to offer more than an additional travel option. Through Bangkok, passengers departing from Da Nang will have access to Thai Airways’ wider network serving destinations across Thailand, Asia, Europe and other international markets.
In the opposite direction, the route is expected to create additional opportunities for travelers from Thailand and other markets to visit Da Nang and central Vietnam.
Participants also highlighted the broader economic and cultural significance of stronger air connectivity. A direct link with Bangkok can facilitate tourism flows while supporting trade, cultural exchanges and international cooperation between Da Nang, Thailand and other key markets.
The new route comes as Da Nang continues to expand its international air connectivity and diversify its tourism markets. By linking the city more closely with a major regional aviation hub and Thai Airways’ international network, the service is expected to create additional channels for two-way travel and strengthen Da Nang’s position as a gateway to Central Vietnam.
