According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the city's tourism delegation participated in the festival from July 1 to 5, introducing Da Nang's cultural identity and tourism offerings to South Korean visitors through a wide range of interactive activities.

The Daegu Chimac Festival is Daegu’s signature summer festival and Korea’s largest food-and-drink event celebrating the much-loved pairing of chicken and beer.

It attracts more than one million visitors annually with a vibrant mix of cultural performances, culinary experiences and entertainment. This year's Da Nang pavilion presented an immersive Vietnamese cultural experience.

The opening ceremony was attended by Doan Phuong Lan, the Consul General of Vietnam in Busan; Ly Xuong Can, Vietnam's Tourism Ambassador to South Korea; together with representatives of tourism businesses, travel partners and media organizations.

Throughout the five-day festival, the pavilion became a popular attraction. Here, visitors could experience Vietnamese culture firsthand by trying on traditional “ao dai”, creating woodblock prints, decorating hand fans and conical hats, sampling Vietnamese cuisine, discovering Da Nang's OCOP (One Commune One Product) specialties and joining interactive games.

More than 20,000 visitors are estimated to have visited the pavilion, helping introduce Da Nang as a vibrant, welcoming destination with a rich cultural heritage to the South Korean public.

A major highlight was Da Nang's appearance on the festival's main stage, where thousands of festival-goers watched traditional Vietnamese “ao dai” performances, destination promotional videos and interactive quiz games designed to introduce Da Nang's tourism attractions.

The delegation also conducted working visits with tourism organizations in Daegu, including an exchange at the Da Nang Corner, a permanent tourism information space located at the Daegu Tourist Information Center.

As part of the working trip, on July 3 in Busan, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Busan Tourism Organization (BTO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral tourism cooperation.

The agreement is expected to expand tourism exchanges, promote joint marketing initiatives and create new opportunities to attract more South Korean visitors to Da Nang, one of Vietnam's leading beach destinations.

South Korea remains one of Da Nang's most important international tourism markets. The city's participation in major cultural events such as the Daegu Chimac Festival aims to showcase its vibrant tourism offerings and rich cultural heritage to South Korean visitors.
