Da Nang's GRDP hits 9.43% in first half

The economic structure in the first half of the year shifted towards services - industry - agriculture with the proportion of services being 55.68%, industry and construction 24.6%, agro-forestry-fishery 7.68%, and product taxes (excluding product subsidies) 12.04%.

The scale of the city’s GRDP at current prices during that period reached VND 148.8 trillion, accounting for 2.5% of the national GDP and ranking 11^th out of the 34 provinces and cities after the merger.

Between January and June, accommodation establishments citywide served an estimate of 8.626 million visitors, up 16.2% year-on-year. Of these, the number of international tourist arrivals to the city rose by 25.2% to reach 3.741 million, whilst 4.885 million were domestic visitors, a 10.2% year-on-year increase.

During the 6-month period, the city attracted US$ 232 million in FDI capital, up 20% over the same period in 2024. Of which, there were 51 newly licensed projects with a total registered capital of US$ 124.78 million, up 13.3% in project numbers but down 15.6% in the registered capital.

The city attracted over VND 62 trillion in domestic investment, up 126%. It also had 26 projects adjusted capital with an increased capital of VND 19 trillion, up more than 300%.

New business registration certificates were issued to 3,102 enterprises, branches and representative offices, with a total registered charter capital of VND 12.6 trillion, an increase of 14% in the number of enterprises and 31% in registered capital compared to the same period in 2024.

To date, the city has had 1,263 FDI projects with a total investment capital of nearly US$ 11 billion, 799 domestic projects with over VND 359 trillion, and 53,609 active enterprises, branches and representative offices with around VND 462 trillion.
