The handover ceremony was held on September 11 by the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs in coordination with Tam Ky Ward.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of the Tam Ky Ward People’s Committee Do Van Minh said the support reflects Da Nang’s solidarity, friendship and responsibility toward Lamam at a difficult time.

The assistance also builds on a long-standing relationship between the former Tam Ky and Lamam District, which have maintained a twinning relationship and developed exchanges and cooperation based on friendship, solidarity and mutual support.

Following the administrative reorganisation on July 1, 2025, the former Tam Ky City was reorganised into four wards -Tam Ky, Ban Thach, Huong Tra and Quang Phu.

These four wards are continuing to coordinate their cooperation with Lamam, with a focus on making existing exchanges more practical and effective.

Areas of cooperation include sharing experience in state administration, administrative reform and digital transformation, as well as cultural exchanges and the exchange of experience in developing trade, services, local products and tourism.

Deputy Secretary of the Lamam District Party Committee and Chairman of the Lamam District Administration Boualai ViLayVong expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and support from Da Nang authorities, the Department of Foreign Affairs and the four wards.
