Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was highlighted as a favorite destination among Australian visitors, known for its charming ancient town and distinctive cultural identity.

Business-to-business (B2B) networking sessions gave travel companies opportunities to explore market demand and exchange information on distribution networks, helping them develop tour packages tailored to Australian travellers’ preferences.

The event also offered opportunities for cultural exchange through performances of traditional Vietnamese arts.

Alongside the showcase, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism delegation held working sessions with Destination NSW, Western Sydney International Airport and the Western Sydney Tourism Taskforce to explore cooperation in destination promotion, air connectivity and the development of two-way tourism markets.

In the first nine months of 2026, Da Nang welcomed 376,981 visitors from Australia, up 43.86% year on year. This growth underscores the market’s strong potential and the need to sustain destination promotion and strengthen ties with travel agencies, distribution partners and aviation stakeholders.
