DNO - Da Nang has officially showcased its tourism offerings at the Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) 2026 in Mumbai (India), reaffirming its ambition to become a leading MICE and wedding destination in Asia while strengthening long-term partnerships with the Indian market.

As reported by Nhan Dan Newspaper, the opening ceremony of the Da Nang Tourism Pavilion took place on February 5 (local time) with the participation of Mr. Le Quang Bien, Consul General of Vietnam in India.
In his remarks, he highlighted the important role of Vietnamese representative agencies in promoting economic diplomacy, trade, investment and tourism cooperation between the two countries.
He also praised Da Nang’s proactive and methodical approach in maintaining a sustained presence in India, one of the fastest-growing outbound travel markets in the world.
According to the Indian Ministry of Tourism’s December 2025 Annual Report, Vietnam is among the fastest-growing destinations for Indian travelers, recording nearly 4.5-fold growth compared to 2019. This momentum has positioned India as a strategic market for Da Nang’s international visitor diversification strategy.
Held from February 5 to 7 at the Jio World Centre, OTM 2026 offers an important platform for destination marketing and business networking.
Da Nang’s participation reflects a clear long-term vision: not only attracting visitors but building sustainable partnerships across aviation, event organization and travel services.

Built around the positioning message “Returning to the Original”, Da Nang highlighted its strengths through curated MICE and wedding experiences set in natural landscapes, heritage spaces and local cultural environments.
This Vietnamese destination emphasized its flexibility in product design, adapting ceremonies and events to the aesthetics, traditions and scale preferences of Indian travellers, particularly for large-scale weddings and incentive travel programmes.
Da Nang’s 36-square-metre pavilion at OTM 2026 brought together six leading tourism enterprises, reflecting a value-chain-based market development strategy and creating a direct, effective networking platform with Indian travel partners, event organisers and wedding planners.
Through storytelling centred on identity and immersive experiences, the city presented a comprehensive MICE and wedding tourism ecosystem, where culture, heritage, cuisine, traditional performing arts and community spaces form the core of its destination value.

Promotional activities at OTM Mumbai 2026 not only strengthened Da Nang’s tourism brand recognition but also opened opportunities for businesses to expand partnerships and deepen engagement with airlines, supporting the goal of launching direct air routes from New Delhi and Mumbai to Da Nang.
By combining strategic market engagement, cultural storytelling and tailored services, Da Nang is positioning itself not only as a destination but as a long-term partner for India’s outbound travel sector.
The city’s presence at OTM 2026 signals a confident step toward sustainable growth and deeper tourism cooperation between the two countries.
