DNO - The recent Da Nang Professional Chefs Competition 2026 took place at the Furama International Convention Palace (ICP). It brought together 14 teams, comprising 28 chefs, from various hotels, resorts, and restaurants in the city and its neighboring localities.
The competition was organized by the Da Nang Confederation of Labor in collaboration with the Da Nang Hotel Association and the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council (USAPEEC).
It was held under the auspices of the Da Nang Culinary Culture Association, with support and partnership from HORECFEX Vietnam and Furama Resort Danang.
On this occasion, the participating teams had the opportunity to exchange professional insights and refine their culinary techniques and presentation styles. This contributes to enhancing the quality of service they provide to diners.
The competition served as a platform for chefs to showcase their skills, share experiences, and unleash their creativity, while also prompting a dialogue on how to best present Da Nang’s unique culinary identity within the context of international exchange and integration.
As a result, the organizing committee awarded the first prize to Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa, while Pullman Danang Beach Resort took home second prize.
Third prize was shared by the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort and the National Assembly Guest House in Da Nang.
Alongside, two consolation prizes were awarded to Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa and Novotel Danang Premier Han River.
The awards recognize the efforts and dedication of chefs, while also motivate them to develop ideas from the competition into dishes for diners, thereby enriching the culinary experience in Da Nang.
