Da Nang Party Chief extends congratulations on Lao National Day

On behalf of the Party Committee, government, people and armed forces of Da Nang, Secretary Quang conveyed the warmest congratulations to the Lao Party, State, and people on the occasion of the milestone anniversary.

Congratulating the Lao government and people on the achievements they have achieved over the past 50 years, he expressed deep appreciation and pride in the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the Parties, States, and people of the two countries.

He emphasized that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos was a rare model in the world.

Mr. Quang spoke highly of outstanding results in the bilateral cooperation with Lao localities in such spheres as human resource training, healthcare, education, cultural exchanges, people-to-people diplomacy, medical support, and investment - trade.

He also informed that Da Nang is currently preparing to sign cooperation programs with the south-central provinces of Laos for the 2026 - 2030 period.

On the occasion, the Secretary thanked the south-central localities of Laos for contributing relief funds to support Da Nang residents affected by the recent natural disasters.

He also wished that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos will remain ever green and sustainable.

For his part, Lao Consul General in Da Nang Souphanh Hadaoheuang expressed gratitude for the sentiments and good wishes from the city's leaders. He voiced his hope that the city will continue to develop strongly, meeting the expectations of the Central Government and the local people.

He said that over the past 50 years, under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the country has fulfilled two strategic tasks of national construction and defence.

Since 1986, Laos has achieved many outstanding achievements in various fields, whilst its international position has been increasingly enhanced, and people's lives have been improved. In 2025, the country's per capita income is expected to reach very positive levels.

The Consul General affirmed that these achievements have been supported and assisted by the international community, especially the Party, State and Government of Vietnam, and the companionship of Da Nang.

On behalf of the Lao Party and State, he expressed deep gratitude to the Party and State of Vietnam, as well as to the Party Committee, authorities and people of Da Nang.

Consul General Souphanh Hadaoheuang extended his best wishes for the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and people of Vietnam and Laos.
