DNO - The Da Nang People’s Committee and Foody Joint Stock Company, on November 5, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on comprehensive cooperation for the 2027 - 2030 period. The signing aims to further develop the city’s culinary ecosystem, promote the application of digital platforms, enhance tourism promotion, and boost its food economy.

In recent years, the Da Nang People’s Committee and Foody Joint Stock Company have worked together to promote and develop culinary tourism. Notably, the two sides partnered in the Da Nang Food Tour Festival 2026, held from May 20 to 24.
Through its technology ecosystem, ShopeeFood platform and network of food and beverage business partners, Foody has supported the city in promoting events, connecting food and beverage establishments, and stimulating demand for culinary experiences and consumption.
In particular, the two sides jointly developed the Da Nang Digital Food Map at Danangfoodmap.vn, helping residents and visitors access information about local dining destinations as well as strengthen connections between tourists and local businesses.
These initial results highlight the potential of combining local culinary resources and strengths with businesses’ technology ecosystems, data and digital platforms. This approach helps diversify destination promotion methods, stimulate business activities and improve local food businesses’ access to markets.

Building on the results achieved, the MoU for the 2027 - 2030 period aims to expand the scope of cooperation in a comprehensive, coordinated and long-term manner.
Both parties agree to focus on several key areas, such as developing a digital culinary ecosystem and a database of Da Nang’s food scene; connecting and expanding the network of food and beverage establishments; supporting digital transformation and enhancing business capacity among household businesses and enterprises; and building brands, promoting local cuisine and developing the culinary community.
They will roll out demand-stimulation programs, facilitate market connections and create more culinary experience spaces.
Food events and festivals will be organized whilst culinary promotion will be integrated into tourism promotion activities.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi underlined the significance of the MoU for the 2027 - 2030 period in providing a foundation for expanding cooperation in a comprehensive, coordinated and long-term manner.
The agreement also would help establish cuisine as a distinctive tourism product with a strong brand and high added value for Da Nang.
She voiced her hope that Foody would continue leveraging its capabilities and experience while proactively mobilizing resources in technology, communications, training, digital transformation support, demand stimulation and promotional activities.
The city is also expected to work with the company to develop attractive culinary products, events and experience spaces that deliver tangible value to businesses and the community.
